Team Administrator, MLG

 

  • Provide support and assistance to Consular Division (CON)
  • Involvement with tricky and interesting consular and crisis response work
  • Report directly to MLG’s Team Leader, with oversight from the Group Business Manager (GBM)
  • Interact with other colleagues in key MLG divisions: Climate Change & Environment, Legal and Corporate Legal Unit, Protocol (and Visits/Events), and United Nations (including our New York post)

 

 

About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga

 

  • Administrative and operational support, working closely with the CON leadership and staff
  • Financial management (including preparation and oversight of the divisional budgets and expenditure variance reporting)
  • Event and visits management (assisting with the organisation of events and travel bookings)
  • HR support, including helping with the recruitment and induction of staff

This is a Band 12 position.  The full salary range is $58,924 to $75,292 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3.5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.  We expect to appoint around the midpoint of $65,471 – give or take depending on your level of experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you are an experienced administrator with the following skills and experience:

 

  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues and problems, to think beyond an immediate issue to consider longer term implications and to clearly identify what needs to be done
  • Demonstrate integrity, discretion and an ethical approach
  • Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
