Project Coordinator – Enterprise Content Management Project - 18-month fixed term

Information is the lifeblood of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Being able to efficiently find and use information is fundamental to the Ministry’s ability to formulate robust policy advice and advance New Zealand’s foreign policy, trade, and development interests. 

 

About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga

 

This role will be a member of the project team responsible for modernising MFAT’s Enterprise Content Management System taking it from SharePoint on premise to a new cloud-based platform.

 

This project will deliver a user-friendly enterprise content management system that enables the Ministry to manage, access, share and use information more effectively in support of its foreign policy, trade, and development objectives. The role will contribute to designing and implementing solutions that align with information management policies, user needs, and legislative requirements.

 

The project coordinator will be a lynchpin of the project team, linking us together, and ensuring we are organised and efficient. You will be Master of Project processes such as:

  • Planning, organising, and supporting meetings.
  • Coordinating supplier and stakeholder workshops and activities across the project workstreams
  • Project financial administration.
  • Administrative and secretariat support for project governance forums.
  • Preparing regular project reporting.

The full salary range for this role is $70,784 and $90,446 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. We expect to appoint around the midpoint $78,649 – give or take depending on your level of experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you are an experienced Project Coordinator with the following skills and experience:

 

  • Significant experience providing administration and coordination services within a change delivery project.
  • Government agency experience preferred.
  • Strong achievement/delivery/organisation focus – sets high standards including accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of project agile and waterfall project methodologies, governance, and reporting frameworks.
  • Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
