About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga

 

The Business and Systems Trainer role is focused on providing learning and development, and instructional design expertise to develop, deliver and monitor the effectiveness of learning solutions and training in a maturing organisation.

 

You will work closely with the Subject Matter Experts and the Senior Development Adviser - Capability to ensure the competencies and capabilities for the Pacific Development Group are well understood and represented in training; all training solutions are iteratively assessed for improvement; and the right training is available at the right time to the right audience to support business needs.

 

In brief, this role involves:

 

  • designing and delivering engaging learning solutions (classroom, online and elearning) that build confidence in systems, development quality, and business processes
  • partnering with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to develop highquality, fitforpurpose training resources
  • understanding business needs and translate them into effective training, including needs analysis and targeted learning approaches for diverse audiences
  • continuously reviewing, testing, and refining learning materials based on feedback, best practice and changing needs and requirements..

The salary range for this role is $106,973 to $128,367 total remuneration, inclusive of our KiwiSaver employer contribution. We expect to appoint depending on your level of experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you are an experienced with the following skills and experience:

 

  • Developing and delivering good quality, timely, and effective learning solutions to support the delivery of the New Zealand’s International Development Cooperation. The main focus of this role will be working with our Subject Matter Experts to co-design and deliver training.  
  • Understanding the business and proficiently representing business drivers in training solutions, seen as a trusted advisor to the business
  • In partnership with the business, ensuring ongoing enhancements and iterations to deliver business focused continuous improvement to training solutions. This will include reviewing our current induction programme to ensure it delivers a learner-centric experience. 
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
